How does splitting the cost work?

Payments and refunds · Updated 29 Oct 2026

When you join an open game, everyone pays their own share in the app. Nobody collects money in a group chat, and the host is never left to cover the court.

How your share is worked out

The host sets the court price and how many players the game needs. Your fair share is the price divided by the number of players.

For Friday night padel at Monoliza Abuja, Court 2 costs ₦67,500 for two hours and the game needs four players, so each share is ₦16,875.

How it looks in the app

Friday night padel at Monoliza Abuja, Court 2. Three of four players are in, and ₦50,625 of ₦67,500 is paid.

Paid and pledged

The bar on every game shows how much is in. The solid part is money already paid. The outline shows pledges. A pledge is not a payment, so it never confirms a game on its own.

When the game confirms

The game confirms itself as soon as the court is paid for. Until then it stays open, and anyone who has paid can top up to cover what is still needed.

If the game doesn’t fill

If the court isn’t fully paid for, the game doesn’t go ahead. You get your share back the way you paid.
